We are thrilled to announce that a new update of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) 2.0.1 specification is now available for download. This update comes hand in hand with the launch of the OCPP 2.0.1 Certification program, which aims to assist users in implementing the protocol successfully. With several added files, including an errata and two new parts dedicated to Certification Profiles and Test Cases, this update is set to streamline the OCPP 2.0.1 experience.
The OCPP 2.0.1 Certification Program was officially unveiled during the 36th Electric Vehicle Symposium held in Sacramento, California last June. In collaboration with the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) members and participants in the working groups, the specifications were expanded to equip OCPP 2.0.1 users with the necessary knowledge for certification.

OCPP 2.0.1 PART 2 – ERRATA
This section complements the existing Part 2 of the specifications, encompassing the complete requirements. The errata focuses on clarifications to the OCPP 2.0.1 Part 2 specification 2nd edition, ensuring greater accuracy and clarity.
OCPP 2.0.1 PART 5 – CERTIFICATION PROFILES
With this new addition, OCPP 2.0.1 implementations can now undergo certification using the Core and Advanced Security profiles. Furthermore, additional profiles like Smart Charging, ISO15118, Advanced Device Management, and more will be incorporated into this part at a later date.
OCPP 2.0.1 PART 6 – TEST CASES
To aid implementers in their certification preparation, this section provides practical Test Cases with step-by-step instructions for implementing and testing OCPP on a Charging Station, Charging Station Software Stack or Charging Station Management System. These Test Cases enable users to familiarize themselves with the protocol and ensure a smooth certification process.
