Migrating charging stations is a complex process, especially when it involves hundreds or thousands of units that must switch to a new backend while minimizing downtime. During this webinar Franc Buve from OCA will present a step-by-step guide, including common hurdles in the migration process and how to solve them. After that, our guest speakers from GreenFlux, Driivz and Last Mile Solutions will take over, sharing their recent real-life experiences with the migration process.

UPI is widely used in India and enables instant account-to-account payments using QR codes or mobile apps. It has transformed digital transactions, offering instant, 24/7 payments directly between bank accounts. This capability makes it a natural fit for public EV charging, where drivers can pay quickly without the friction of cards, wallets, or cash. During this webinar  our Indian guest speaker, Saket, will tell you everything about EV charging in India and about UPI.

Additionally, OCA’s Franc Buve will walk you trough our recently published UPI whitepaper which explores how UPI can be integrated into EV-charging payments, looking at both simple and advanced integration models. It highlights how OCPP supports these scenarios through features such as remote transaction control and prepaid transaction limits. Download the whitepaper here.

M-PESA allows users to send and receive money through their mobile phones without requiring a bank account. Together with Kenyan EV expert Francis Romano, OCA director Lonneke Driessen and OCA protocol specialist Franc Buve. We’ll look at the current state of EV charging in Kenya and then focus on M-PESA, a payment app for EV charging, which is widely used in Kenya and other African countries.

This webinar is based on the OCPP & M-PESA Mobile payments whitepaper. This paper explores how M-PESA can be integrated into EV charging payments, looking at both simple and advanced models of integration. It also highlights how the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) supports these scenarios through features such as remote transaction control and prepaid transaction limits. Download the whitepaper here.

The whitepaper outlines the standardized method for sharing signed meter values between a Charging Station (CS) and a Charging Station Management System (CSMS). The purpose of which is to provide consumers a way of validating the validity of chargeable measurand(s) (Wh, Time, etc), in compliance with applicable laws or regulations in different jurisdictions. Watch this webinar to learn more and ask all your questions.

Listen to Paul Klapwijk, chair of the compliance working group at OCA, to get the updates about the new and improved certification program (2025). OCA’s certification program has been available since 2019, and a significant number of products have already been certified. Certification of OCPP is increasingly being recommended or even mandated by governments in various regions. This means we must ensure that our certification program remains clear and efficient and it is increasingly pragmatic, maintainable and affordable. With this in mind, we have reviewed the program and, in collaboration with test labs and market participants, made adjustments to its structure. These changes aim to ensure the program maintains its quality and aligns with the needs of the market and governmental requirements.
