OCA is proud to announce that OCPP 2.1 Edition 1 has officially been published as an IEC standard. OCPP 2.1 Edition 1 official is now available on the IEC website as IEC 63584-210: 2025. About OCPP 2.1
OCPP 2.1, released in January 2025, builds on the capabilities of OCPP 2.0.1 with improved and added functionalities. It is designed for smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly EV charging solutions. For example, it offers support for ISO 15118-20, a new functional block on bidirectional charging, a new functional block on DER control, battery swapping and new authorization options.
