Certification program

Certification program

To promote OCPP interoperability, the Open Charge Alliance offers a certification program. An OCPP Certificate is your assurance of interoperability and flexibility. The main purpose of this certification is to validate OCPP compliance for vendors as well as buyers of OCPP implementations.

WHAT IS THE OCPP CERTIFICATION PROGRAM?

The certification program is a joint effort of the Open Charge Alliance and several independent test laboratories around the world to test OCPP for conformance with the OCPP specification.

HOW DOES IT BENEFIT VENDORS OR BUYERS?

Vendors of compliant systems can now assure their clients that the implementation has been validated for conformance with the OCPP specification by an approved independent test laboratory. OCA is currently working with the following test laboratories: Dekra, DNV, Korea Smart Grid Association, Korean Testing Certification Institute and Korea Testing Laboratory. For a list of all test laboratory locations, click here.

Buyers of OCPP-compliant products can check which products are certified as successfully tested for OCPP conformance.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You can find the full certification procedure below. It includes all the information about the certification program, including requirements, explanations, and guidance to get you started with the OCPP certification process. Scroll down for a step by step video tutorial.
