Watchlist

All OCPP test cases have been approved by the OCA Compliance working group and have been tested by the OCTT development team and several OCPP implementations.
Some testcases, that have only been tested by a limited number of OCPP implementations and/or are of a complex nature, may need more independent OCPP implementations to validate the correctness of the testcase. These testcases are published on the OCTT ‘Watchlist’.

OCTT users are encouraged to doublecheck their test results – including passes – and their logs of Test cases on the ‘Watchlist’.
During OCPP certification runs at OCA certification labs, the lab test engineer and the OCPP Technical Editors will perform extra log reviews of test cases with the ‘Watchlist’ status. This log review may result in an erratum of the OCPP specification, a fix in OCTT or the adjustment of the specific test result (from ‘fail’ to ‘pass’ or vice versa).

Once test cases with ‘Watchlist’ status have been sufficiently tested with multiple OCPP implementations, the ‘Watchlist’ status will be revoked, and no additional log reviews will be necessary.

The number of testcases with ‘Watchlist’ status in OCTT (for all certification profiles) is:

• for OCPP 2.0.1: 10 for CSMS and 58 for Charging Stations (November 2025). 
• for OCPP 1.6: 1 for CSMS and 0 for Charging Stations (February 2026).
