The board of directors oversees OCA’s strategic direction, legal responsibilities, and the implementation of the annual plan. The OCA board consists of five members and one special advisor. All board members have signed the OCA Board Pledge. Bringing diverse experience and perspectives, the board members help to guide OCA’s priorities and ensure accountability, transparency, and long-term sustainability. The board meets once a month.
Onoph Caron is an experienced expert in the energy sector as he is working in this line of business for over two decades. He started at the grid operator Alliander. Now he is the director of ElaadNL. Next to his work at ElaadNL, Onoph is chairman of the Board of the Open Charge Alliance.
Karl Weinreich has over 16 years of experience in automotive R&D and testing and currently serves as Technology Expert E-Mobility at Shell. Over the past 8 years, he has specialized in e-mobility technology, with a strong focus on charging standards & digital charging communication like e.g. ISO 15118. He will join the OCA Board on behalf of Shell Recharge, replacing Sunil Daryanani.
Peter Veale has served on the OCA Board since March 2022 and is Head of Technology and Digital Products at ESB ecars, with over 22 years’ experience that began as the founder of his own tech start‑up and progressed through a variety of technology and leadership roles in the energy sector.
Kor has a professional career spanning decades of innovative companies and organizations. Currently Kor is the Director Global Standards at ChargePoint and leads a team of standards engineers, who actively participate in various standardization committees, such as OCA, EVRoaming, ISO, IEC, and SAE.
Jacob Betz from Vector Informatik joined the OCA Board in December 2025. With a strong background in electrical engineering and as one of the early adopters of e-mobility, Jacob brings a wealth of expertise to the OCA Board.
Lonneke Driessen has been the Director of OCA since 2015. She is a professional in the energy sector with more than 15 years of experience. Before joining OCA, she worked at Enexis in various roles for over 17 years.
Brendan McMahon is a member of the OCA Board and serves as a Special Advisor to OCA. He worked as a Systems Architect at ESB.
