News / Registrations are now open: OCA Cyber Security Conference and OCPP Plugfest North America 2026

Registration is now open for the OCA Cyber Security Conference and OCPP Plugfest North America 2026. From May 12 to 14, 2026, the Open Charge Alliance will welcome developers, engineers, and EV charging professionals to the DEKRA’s Automotive Test Center of Excellence Detroit, Michigan for three days of knowledge sharing, interoperability testing, and networking.

The event starts on May 12 with the OCA Cyber Security Conference, offering a focused afternoon program on the latest cyber security developments in EV charging. Attendees can expect sessions on North American requirements, policy developments, vulnerability research and disclosures, lessons learned from Pwn2Own, and practical solutions such as PKI, the OCPP Security Ops Guide, and security testing. The afternoon will also include several panel discussions and will conclude with drinks and dinner.

On May 13 and 14 the focus will shift to interoperability testing. Charging Station and CSMS developers test their OCPP 2.0.1 and 2.1 implementations against a variety of partners to see how systems interact in practice, identify issues, and improve compatibility.

As you are used to from the OCA Plugfests the testing is organized in multiple rounds, giving you the chance to connect with several partners throughout the event. This will participate to gaining valuable technical insights, validate your implementations, and contribute to stronger interoperability across the EV charging ecosystem.

In addition to the hands-on interoperability testing, the event will feature a side program for participants who would like to dive deeper into the latest developments in OCPP and EV charging. The program will include guest speaker presentations, OCA updates, and panel discussions that offer valuable insights and fresh perspectives from across the industry. The full agenda will be published on the registration page as soon as possible.

Whether you join as a tester or observer, this is your chance to experience OCPP testing up close, learn from industry experts, and meet others from across the EV charging ecosystem.
