On August 25–26, 2026, the Open Charge Alliance will bring the EV charging community together at the COEX Conference Center in Seoul, Korea for two focused days of technical collaboration, interoperability testing, and industry exchange. The event also offers participants the opportunity to connect in the setting of Seoul, a city where advanced technology, long-standing cultural heritage, and warm hospitality come together.

What to expect?
Expect two days combining a conference programme focused on the future of open EV charging industry in Asia with a practical OCPP Plugfest for hands-on interoperability testing.
The conference will bring together industry experts and EV charging professionals to discuss a wide variaty of topics based around OCPP, the certification program, local initiatives and real life use cases. Curious to see the full agenda? Scroll down and take a look!
Alongside the conference, the Plugfest provides a collaborative environment for developers to test your OCPP 2.0.1 and 2.1 implementations with multiple partners in a round-robin format. You and your team can participate both online or onsite with your Charging Station or CSMS. Participants can identify issues, improve compatibility, and exchange technical feedback directly with other implementers.
Networking and cultural exchange
The event offers opportunities to meet peers, partners, and industry experts in an informal setting. Participants can continue conversations beyond the conference and Plugfest while experiencing a cultural experience visiting the Lotte Tower in Seoul, the sixth-tallest building in the world.

Technical Planning Team leader, Autocrypt
Seung-hwan Ju is a technology planning leader with more than 15 years of experience in automotive and EV charging cybersecurity. He currently leads the Technology Planning Team at AUTOCRYPT, where he is responsible for technology strategy, international standardization, regulatory compliance, and R&D program planning for vehicle and charging infrastructure security.
Throughout his career, he has worked on various projects related to V2X security credential management systems (PKI), ISO 15118 Plug & Charge, OCPP, EV charging infrastructure security, and automotive cybersecurity regulations, including UN R155 and ISO/SAE 21434, CRA. He actively contributes to industry standardization efforts and government-funded research programs to improve security and interoperability across the EV charging ecosystem.
At the OCA Plugfest, he will share insights on EV charging cybersecurity, OCPP interoperability, and practical experiences with Plug & Charge technologies.

Bongsu Shin leads the EV Charging Infrastructure Support Center. Founded three years ago at Gyeonggi University of Science and Technology campus, the EV Charging Infrastructure Support Center operates to support domestic SMEs—including EV charger manufacturers—by providing environmental and reliability testing services.
The EV Charging Infrastructure Support Center also operates educational programs designed to cultivate a skilled workforce for electric vehicle charger maintenance.
