Program

September 22nd, 2026

Act 1 – How we got here

10:30 – 11:30
Welcome to Ireland – a story of electrification
A reflection on Ireland’s journey from rural electrification to a modern energy system and how that same transformation is now happening again through transport electrification.

11:30 – 12:00
From national infrastructure to global standards: the evolution of OCA
How industry came together to solve interoperability challenges through OCPP, and how the Open Charge Alliance evolved into a global standards body supporting EV adoption.

12:00 – 12:30
Why open standards matter now more than ever
As EV adoption accelerates, open standards are no longer optional — they are foundational to scale, innovation, and competition. This session explores why interoperability is critical to delivering a reliable, user-centric charging ecosystem.

12:30 – 14:00 – Networking Lunch
Continuing the conversation and building connections across the ecosystem

Act 2 – What’s at stake now

14:00 – 14:30
Keynote: Cybersecurity and critical infrastructure
As EV charging becomes part of national energy systems, cybersecurity becomes a strategic risk. This session explores how eMobility infrastructure is evolving into critical infrastructure — and what that means for operators, policymakers and technology providers.

14:30 – 15:00
Regulation in action: CRA and NIS2
An overview of emerging European cybersecurity requirements and what they mean in practice:

  • What is required
  • What is changing
  • What industry needs to prepare for
