Looking back on the OCPP Plugfest & Conference Asia

On August 25 and 26, OCA organized another edition of the OCPP Plugfest & Conference Asia. During these two days, we welcomed professionals from across the EV charging industry, representing different backgrounds and countries, to the event in Seoul.
The event featured expert presentations, High-Quality Testing and, last but not least, an entertaining evening program.

Presentations and testing

The first day of the conference offered a great mix of topics. The conference was kicked off by Ted Hunink, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Netherlands. This was followed by a packed schedule of presentations covering the EV charger market in Latin America, the EV charging landscape in Indonesia and Indian regulations for EVSE. In addition, we had in-depth presentations on the V2G perspective, certification and securing the OCPP ecosystem.

Alongside the presentations, several test teams spent the day participating in High-Quality Testing with the KTL team. The sessions focused on using the OCTT to assess their OCPP implementations, while also giving participants the opportunity to receive advice from KTL’s test lab experts on how to further improve their implementations.

Networking and cultural experience

After a full day of presentations and testing, participants joined a networking dinner and visited Lotte World Tower, the sixth-tallest building in the world, where they enjoyed an amazing view over Seoul. Followed by a dinner at a traditional Korean Fried Chicken restaurant.

Presentations and EV Trend

The second day of the Plugfest & Conference consisted of a morning of expert presentations on topics such as OCPP 2.1 and V2G grid support, followed by a visit to the EV Trend exposition, which was also taking place at the COEX Center in Seoul.

Looking back on a succesful Plugfest and Conference
